Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) o Bordereau Électronique de Suivi des Cargaisons (BESC)

All maritime shipments with final destination Liberia shall be regularized by an Electronic Cargo Tracking Note. Generally called BESC – Bordereau Électronique de Suivi des Cargaisons.

ECTN/BESC certificate is a necessary document requested as from 01/02/2019. Each B/L must be accompanied by an Electronic Cargo Tracking Note.

  • Sea Freight invoice if commercial invoice is FOB or EXW
  • Custom declaration – EXA

Procedure
  • Collect all mandatory documents
  • Submit your request on-line or by e-mail
  • Wait for our invoice and draft ECTN
  • Check/confirm the draft and proceed with payment
  • Wait for the validated ECTN certificate

Do I have to emit a ECTN/BESC certificate for shipments destined in Liberia and all transhipments?

Yes, ECTN/BESC certificates must be emitted for both cases.

When Do I have to apply for ECTN/BESC certificate?

You need to request ECTN/BESC before the vessel departure as it will not be loaded onto the vessel without.

Can I apply for my ECTN/BESC with a draft B/L?

Yes, you can apply and receive the draft ECTN/BESC certificate. However, to proceed with the validation we will require the copy of the dated B/L.
