Bordereau Electronique de Suivi des Cargaisons

All maritime shipments with final destination Niger shall be regularized by a Bordereau Electronique de Suivi des Cargaisons. Generally called BESC or BSC.

BESC/BSC certificate is a necessary document as from 05/10/2007 requested by Decree Inter Ministerial N°001244 ME/F-MT/AC. Each B/L must be accompanied by a Bordereau Electronique de Suivi des Cargaisons.

  • Bill of Lading – B/L
  • Commercial Invoice
  • Sea Freight invoice if commercial invoice is FOB or EXW
Procedure
  • Collect all mandatory documents
  • Submit your request on-line or by e-mail
  • Wait for our invoice and draft BESC
  • Check/confirm the draft and proceed with payment
  • Wait for the validated BESC certificate

Do I have to emit the waiver relative to the country of destination or POD?

Depends on the POD, for any additional information please contact ectn@shippersdoc.com.

Are there restioctions on the types of goods that can be imported?

No, at the moment there are no resctions on imports. However, if this was to change we would let you know in advance.

When should I apply for the BSC? What is the procedure?

You should apply before/atm of loading as per procedure.

Is it mandatory to insert the BSC number on the BL?

It is not mandatory but highly recommended.

Can I amend my BESC certificate after validation?

Yes, you need to present the amended documents (i.e If the gross weight changes it has to present the new value on the BL).
