Electronic Cargo Tracking Note (ECTN) o Bordereau Électronique de Suivi des Cargaisons (BESC)

All maritime shipments with final destination the Sierra Leone shall be regularized by an Electronic Cargo Tracking Note. Generally called BESC – Bordereau Électronique de Suivi des Cargaisons.

ECTN/BESC certificate is a necessary document requested as from 02/04/2020. Each B/L must be accompanied by an Electronic Cargo Tracking Note.

Procedure
  • Collect all mandatory documents
  • Submit your request on-line or by e-mail
  • Wait for our invoice and draft ECTN
  • Check/confirm the draft and proceed with payment
  • Wait for the validated ECTN certificate

When should I apply for the BSC?

You should apply before/atm of loading as per procedure. Do bare in mind that for this specific destination you need to validate your BESC/ECTN within five working days from the vessel’s departure.

Can I amend my BESC/BSC certificate after validation?

Yes, you can. However, please consider that there are additional costs for ECTN/BESC modification post validation.
